| The Challenge |
|
|
The Customer hosts their own Web, email and specialized
application servers. They had a T1 circuit to an ISP and suffered a few
outages. Unfortunately these outages occurred during very critical periods
and were highly visible to several key customers. These Customers could
not get to their data and their email system was effectively down for
several days. They were not quite ready to move their equipment to a co-location
facility, so they came to us for any possible alternative solutions.

| The Solution |
|
|
We recommended bringing in a secondary circuit to their
office. This equipment dynamically balances traffic both inbound and outbound
to several ISP circuits. If one circuit should fail, the LinkProof will
dynamically route traffic in and out via the other circuit. By using Dynamic
Network Address Translation, it can translate the private IP address space
from the DMZ and internal networks to the appropriate address space for
that circuit.
